30.12.15 Day 30 – Today, I am grateful for the butt-kicking an ovarian cancer diagnosis gave me on this day two years ago.
Every year, approximately 1400 women are diagnosed with, and around 1000 will die from, this cancer. Two years in to my 5-year plan of regular check-ups and blood tests, I am healthier than I have ever been – not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Cancer tends to do that to you – it messes with your head in lots of ways, and some days are amazing and others can be pretty ordinary. Every day, now, for me, is amazing – a ten out of ten, regardless. I am back in the driver’s seat of my life, and am on a mission, through my work – my passion – to help others do, have, and be the same.
Every day, I get to spend time with people who know there is more out there, and within them, than what they are currently allowing in.
With a little bit of self love, you can change your world!
