A Moment To Themselves

A portrait experience shaped by presence and quiet strength.

REFLECTIONS

When I arrived for the photoshoot, I felt quite nervous and a bit vulnerable. Being in front of a camera made me feel exposed, and I wasn’t completely sure how to be myself in that kind of setting.

As the session went on, though, something shifted. Sue created an environment that felt safe and supportive, and I slowly started to let my guard down. I began to feel more comfortable, more present, and more like myself. It stopped feeling like I was being “photographed” and more like I was being seen.

By the time I left, I felt lighter — and honestly, a little proud. I walked away with a sense of confidence I didn’t have when I first arrived. It felt like I had pushed through that initial discomfort and found something stronger underneath it.

The experience was meaningful because Sue allowed me to connect with myself in a way I didn’t expect. It wasn’t just about taking photos — it was about letting myself be vulnerable and accepting that version of me.

Now, the portraits mean something deeper. They’re not just images, but a reflection of a moment where I chose to show up, even when it felt uncomfortable. They remind me of growth, self-acceptance, and the quiet confidence that came from allowing myself to be seen. Thank you, Sue.
